About This Special Issue

Historical objects such as ‘Building, Stone, Wall painting, Textiles, Wood, Metal, Manuscripts, Glass, Pottery ... etc’ which have been excavated or already in museums are usually effected and contaminated by different deterioration factors. Without conservation process, most historical objects will perish, and all important historic data will be lost. Now a new method for restoration and conservation of historical objects has been developed.

Abstract: The spire of Barcelona cathedral suffered from severe problems due to the corrosion of the steel ties used in reinforcing its stone masonry beams.
